7/3/2016 0 Comments Instagram photographyHiya! Sorry for being inactive i've been working have on this poster for my school + regular school work.... excuses excuses.... anyway I'm back for a blog post. Hope you read my last one and gave it a try ;)
Instagram ( if you didn't know already ) is a social media which allows you to post your photos; I quite like it, it's a social media that i use often. But is there a difference between instagram photography and photography? For me the answer is yes. If you look at my 'feed' on instagram there is nothing that is that special about it really, it might look nice because i try to make the colours in my photos the same but it's not my best photos... like at all. But the are people who do post their best photos on 'photography accounts' ( i find this phrase funny because all accounts will have photos on them ) most of these 'photography accounts' are amazing photos but you occasionally get a wanna be photographer... like a girl who goes to my school. It's great that she likes photography don't me wrong but she thinks she is better than she is and in anything there will be a person like this. However, this girl makes me see that there is a difference between instagram photography and art photography. You see a photo might look good against you instagram feed but would it look good against other photos in a gallery? Well this was a bit of a rant more than anything else but I want to hear what you think on 'instagram photography' :) Digital ♡

5/31/2016 0 Comments Photo challengeSorry for not adding to my blog in a while ;) Hope you enjoy this post anyway! So i was scrolling though Pinterest (as you do ) and I came across the 30 day (or month) drawing challenge, you get where the title comes from now :), but i saw no photo or photography ones; I guess if I had looked harder I would have but anyways... It gave me a thought to do one so this is what this post is about (I also needed to post something on here) anyway when June starts I'm going to try this so maybe in a month or so I might have a post about the photos i've taken but don't follow me up on that! :) Anyway here is the photo challenge:
Hope you give this a go I will to :) If you do complete it send me your pictures to me at [email protected] ; I'd love to see some of your photos!
Much love Digital style xx 5/10/2016 0 Comments Focus and angles?! Two very key subjects of taking a good photo are simply focus and getting the correct angle for your photo. It can make your pictures look and turn out better. I talked about these briefly in my last post :) Just two small adjustments can make a photo look miles better; for example: I'm using 3 pens as an example here, as you can see this photo is in focus. However, this photo is not. If you wish to have an effect that is blurry I suggest taking the photo in focus and editing it later. Change the angle as well; if you are not liking how your photos are turning out try mixing it up you could come up with something you love! Using the settings on your camera will help you with taking your photos e.g. the macro setting is great for taking close ups where as the landscape setting would not be. Make sure that you camera is not too close or too far away from your desired photo, it will not make the picture turn out great ;). Also taking multiple shots is fine you can't always take a good photo first try, in fact it's very unlikely so don't give up or get frustrated if things don't go to plan! Look closely at the shot you want to take, looking at the shot before the picture is taken might help the turn out of the picture. if you have a main piece to the picture make sure all focus is on it, using a plain background is best also clutter free pictures always are nicer to view :). Hope some of this helped if you have any questions make sure to comment! I think i'll make my next post about using and understanding your camera so look out for that maybe!?
Much love Digital XxX Weird sounding title?! Well maybe, and probably not the best title to start a blog with, but we will go with it anyway...
As the title suggests it's to do with taking a good photo. Now it can be slightly more harder than anticipated and can lead to mega rage which could cause harm to you camera/ mobile device, no one wants that. Of course everything needs a certain amount of skill whether it's using a knife and fork, or creating a fully working computer, creating a photo that you are pleased with might take some practice! Here are a few tips that might help you when taking a photo (i'll go into the tips in later blog posts) : ♥︎ -Understanding your camera, how it works etc. -Don't take loads of pictures in the same angle, experiment! -Use lighting that it good with your photo, good lit photographs look best! -Take lots of them! As they say practice makes perfect -Enjoy what you're doing, the more passionate you are the better it will turn out! -Don't get upset if it doesn't look right, everyone's photos don't always come out right ;) I hope this helped a bit. Make sure to share my site :) I'll post later in the week. Much love Digital XxX ♥︎ |
